Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demons is an action game for the Nintendo Switch. It is a prequel to the Bayonetta series, starring Cereza as a Umbran Witch in training. It released worldwide in March 17, 2023 on Nintendo Switch. A teaser for the game is featured as a completion bonus in Bayonetta 3.
Gameplay[]
The game is an action-adventure game where the player controls both Cereza and a demon called Chesire as they navigate Avalon Forest. The left Joy-Con controls Cereza and the right Joy-Con controls Chesire. Cereza uses her magic to bind foes while Chesire bites and slashes them. The camera angle is more fixed from an aerial view.
Plot[]
To free her beloved mother, young Cereza must team up with Cheshire, a lost demon, as they journey through the forbidden forest.

The game was first announced at The Game Awards 2022.
