William Gabriel greeted Tony Stark as his private jet landed in Afghanistan. Gabriel was present when Stark demonstrated his Jericho missile in Afghanistan before Stark's kidnapping by the Ten Rings.[1]
Gabriel talks to James Rhodes
Three months later, James Rhodes went out to find the kidnapped Stark. However, Gabriel stopped and warned Rhodes about disobeying orders. Rhodes was too determined to find his friend that he did not care. Gabriel wished him on his way.[2]
