Biography

Shane Ryback met a homeless woman named Inez Green. The two of them fell in love, but their life together was cut short when Ryback when to prison for assault with a deadly weapon. He also had two more assaults that he was not tried for.

Ryback had been visited by lawyer Jeri Hogarth. Upon introducing herself, he questioned why she sought an interest in his case, as he had already had a lawyer representing him despite never getting his name correct. Confessing that she would bargain his sentencing for him to heal her, Ryback cited that he did not perform healings but reluctantly agreed, holding his hand out to hers. Using his hands, he began to act out in hysterics, calling out to the guards to return him to his cell.

Ryback soon got out of prison and immediately tried to get on a bus, but he was stopped by Hogarth. He explained that every time he healed, he inches closer to death. Hogarth told him she was already inching towards death and if he did not join her, she would tell the officers about his two assaults that he was not convicted for. He would then go back to jail. He complied and followed her back to her apartment where he reunited with Inez Green. There, he had Hogarth get into a purple robe. When she laid down, Ryback wrapped his hands around Hogarth. He held her hands and squeezed. She broke down crying, thinking she was healed, but in reality, he was faking it.

The day after performing his healing ritual on Jeri Hogarth, Ryback and Inez Green had collected a variety of her property within the apartment. They soon traveled throughout the pawn shops in the city and settled in a residence.

Returning to their residence, Ryback was confronted by Inez Green over his prior communications with other women while in prison. As their arguments grew heated, he was shot by Green.

• Expert Thief: Alongside Inez Green he stole everything that was valuable from Jeri Hogarth's Apartment when she was not home. Ryback was able to do this by pretending to have powers that were able to heal Jeri Hogarth's ALS. He then used this to get on Hogarth's good side and catch her unaware.
