Orloni[1] are small, rodent creatures native to Morag and are commonly found on other planets across the galaxy.
History[]
While native to Morag[2], Orloni are seen galaxy-wide, and are often used as forms of gambling and money-making. In 2014, several Orloni were present when Star-Lord arrived on Morag.
Orloni on Knowhere
Orloni are used on Knowhere at the bar Boot of Jemiah as part of a game. People bet on the F'saki, who devour the Orlonis and the last surviving Orloni is the victor.[3]
Orloni on Sovereign
Several Orloni were on the planet Sovereign and were punched by Groot as he believed they were looking at him funny. As the Guardians of the Galaxy fought the Abilisk, Groot chased after one, eventually using it as a steed to ride around the place.
Groot also found several Orloni on the Eclector, bringing one to Rocket and Yondu Udonta due to a translation error.
Orloni run away from the expansion
Months later during Ego's Expansion, several Orloni ran away from it, but were saved after the expansion was stopped.[4]
In December 2025, Cosmo caught and killed an Orloni and presented it to Kraglin Obfonteri as a Christmas gift.
Alternate Universes[]
Cosmic Time Heist[]
Orloni in alternate 2014
During the Time Heist, the Avengers used the Quantum Realm to travel to alternate timelines. Arriving in an alternate 2014, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine and Nebula went to Morag. Once there, Black Widow kicked an Orloni who approached her. Other Orloni were present when Star-Lord arrived.[5]
