Encountering the Guardians[]
Moloka Dar became a criminal, but was captured by the Nova Corps and imprisoned in the Kyln. Sometime around 2014, Moloka Dar was present when the assassin and associate of Ronan the Accuser, Gamora, was brought to the prison. Seeking revenge for the death of friends and family killed by Ronan, he gathered a group to help him kill her. They kidnapped her in the middle of the night, and brought her to the showers to kill her; they were interrupted by Drax the Destroyer, who wanted to kill her himself for what Ronan did to his family. Moloka offered up his favorite knife to Drax hoping that Drax would forget that they were trying to kill Gamora without him. Before Drax could, Rocket and Star-Lord interrupted them and convinced Drax that if he left Gamora alive, Ronan would come for her, allowing Drax to fight Ronan. Drax agreed to this and left with Dar's favorite knife, much to Dar's sadness.
Dar is held hostage by Ronan the Accuser
Quill, Gamora, and Drax would eventually flee from the Kyln, after which Ronan the Accuser and Nebula invaded the prison in search of Gamora. When they realized she had escaped, Ronan ordered Nebula to cleanse the entire place before they left, which entailed killing all the remaining prisoners and guards, including Dar.[1]
