The Gravity Mine is a device that creates a powerful short-range artificial gravity field that attracts all nearby items to it.
History[]
Quest for the Orb[]
Battle of Morag[]
In 2014, Peter Quill carried a Gravity Mine on Morag and used it to remove the Orb from the energy shield in the Temple Vault, attracting the artifact from the pedestal where it was standing.
A few moments later, while evading Korath and his Sakaaran troops, Quill threw the Gravity Mine in the middle of the Sakaarans who were guarding the Milano, pulling them to the ground and allowing Quill to jump on them to enter the ship and escape.[1]
Infinity War[]
Battle of Titan[]
In 2018, Peter Quill used the Gravity Mine again on Titan in the destroyed Q-Ship to restrain Tony Stark. Later, Quill used his blaster to throw the Mine on Thanos' right arm, which helped restrain Thanos temporarily, as he still managed to break free.[2]
