The Escape from the Eclector was an escape attempt and attack orchestrated by Yondu Udonta in order to exact retribution against the Ravagers who mutinied against him and killed the men who were loyal to him and took Rocket and Groot prisoner.

Yondu Udonta's Yaka Arrow Controller is shot off his head
Yondu Udonta and Rocket had been locked up by Taserface and his Ravagers, while Udonta's loyal men were killed by being dumped out the airlock of the Eclector. Groot was spared, but was humiliated by Taserface's men.
Udonta and Rocket later tried to get Baby Groot to retrieve Yaka Arrow Controller, but Groot could not understand, bringing useless items like Udonta's underwear and a large desk. Eventually, Kraglin Obfonteri assisted Groot in retrieving the controller and freed Udonta, who forgave Obfonteri and told him to prepare the Quadrant for escape.[2]

Yondu Udonta, Rocket and Groot break out of their cell
Yondu Udonta attached the Yaka Arrow Controller to his head and, together with Rocket and Groot, was broke out of the cell by Kraglin Obfonteri, killing several Ravagers that betrayed Udonta in the process. As more Ravagers arrived to halt them, Udonta swiftly managed to kill all of them with the Yaka Arrow.
The three walked across a catwalk where Udonta used the arrow to kill an extremely large number of Ravagers loyal to Taserface, literally causing it to rain the corpses of the dead Ravagers.
Yondu Udonta and Rocket kill the Ravagers
Groot spotted Retch and got his revenge by throwing him to fall off to his death. The three then made their way to the control room where they killed the rest of the Ravagers using the advantage of the display screens until nearly all the Ravagers were dead. Udonta then spotted Taserface striding towards his location, and an unhappy Udonta sped up his Yaka Arrow until it ignited. Taserface managed to dodge the arrow, laughing, until Udonta's arrow hit some flammable materials and exploded, severely wounding Taserface. The three then joined Kraglin Obfonteri in the Quadrant and flew away from the Eclector as it exploded, while Taserface contacted the Sovereign to notify them of Udonta's location, wanting Udonta to know that Taserface would get the last laugh. Unfortunately for him, the Sovereign burst into laughter upon hearing his name, and he perished in the explosion shortly after the humiliating moment.[2]

Yondu Udonta, Rocket, Groot, and Kraglin Obfonteri escaped in the third Quadrant

Yondu Udonta, Rocket, Groot, and Kraglin Obfonteri then traveled to Ego's planet to help Peter Quill, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer to warn them about Ego's true intentions. They arrived at the planet after traveling seven hundred jumps - fourteen times the safe maximum - then helped them fight off against Ego with the help of his assistant Mantis. In the same time, they also dispatched the Sovereign fleet that had been sent to chase them following Taserface's message.[2]
