Carter was a member of the Black Knife Cartel who worked closely under Zane. At the Fisk Shipping Yard in New York City, Carter was checking out container DX-9 from Tamaha when Zane called him over. Carter walked out with Zane when suddenly, Carter was launched forward by an explosion. They turned around seeing the destruction of the building as container DX-9 blew up.^[1]

Carter followed Zane to Tamaha as Zane had a contact who had allegedly kidnapped Maya Lopez. The group arrived at Black Crow's SkateLife and talked with Tyson, who was very hesitant to hand over Lopez without the money. As Tyson got even more hesitant, Carter watched as Walker killed him. Suddenly, music started blasting over the radio, signaling Lopez's escape.

Carter Death — Carter is struck in the head

Carter approached Lopez, who had already taken care of some men. Carter fell to the ground and crawled over to a gun only to be kicked by Lopez. Carter got back up and ran to Lopez, who took a skee ball and threw it at Carter, hitting his head and drawing blood. Carter quickly recovered and got up to witness the killing of Maya and Henry Lopez. However, they were called off by Kingpin.^[2]
