What i dont get about LOTR conquest is that none of the trolls have swords. Which would be beast if they did. {]=). An Olog-hai appeared in "Born of Hope", did it not?--Jj7362 15:07, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
i can imagine if sauron made the olog-hai use bows and arrows then sauron would have won the war.
- It's not that likely. After all, their primary use was in the Battle of the Morannon which, unbeknownst to Sauron, was a delaying tactic employed by the West to let Frodo and Sam perform the actual act to guarantee victory.--Wyvern Rex. 11:45, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
yeah your right no matter if sauron had dragons, balrogs or anything his master had he would have lost because his ring but he could have had at least 2 of the 9 protect the cracks of doom.
- Of course, that could have been an idea. However, by the time of the Morannon, Sauron was pretty much stuck. He could have sent Ringwraiths and Orcs to the Cracks of Doom but then he couldn't have adequately guarded the Black Gate, putting him in effectively the same position he was in at the time of the Last Alliance. (Admittedly, Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn and Gandalf versus Sauron would be worth seeing.) Alternately, he could have tried to defend the Black Gate (his immediate priority) and hope that the hobbits would succumb to temptation. For all his malice, Sauron failed because he underestimated the resilience of Halflings. Perhaps giving an extra ring to the Mayor of Michael Delving long ago could have helped Sauron during the War of the Ring to assess the corruptibility of the overlooked hobbits.--Wyvern Rex. 17:25, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
