Guy Gavriel Kay (born November 7, 1954) is a Canadian fantasy fiction writer.
Guy Kay was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, but raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He worked with Christopher Tolkien from 1974 to 1975 as assistant editor of The Silmarillion.
