The Folde was a historic and royal region in the heart of Rohan, between the Westfold, Eastfold and the Harrowdale in the south. The border with the Eastfold was a line starting from the confluence of the Snowbourn and Entwash rivers, which ran southwest to the White Mountains in the east. It was mostly covered in tall grasslands, with a moderate climate. The defensive center of the Folde was Edoras, the capital city of Rohan and seat of the King.
