Angelica Baggins was a hobbit of the Shire.

Biography[]

Angelica was born in TA 2981 (SR 1381). She was the daughter of Ponto Baggins II and the grand-niece of Bilbo Baggins. Angelica was young at the time of Bilbo's Farewell Birthday Party and was noted for her vanity, as she considered her face to be quite shapely. After the celebration, she received a round convex mirror as a gift. She apparently never married.[1][2]

Etymology[]

Like many female hobbits, Angelica was named after a flower. The version native to Britain is a perennial herb.[3]

In adaptations[]

Video Games[]

In the video game The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, she is seen around Bywater and is sad to see that Frodo was leaving. Ironically, she claims his visit was taking him "practically to the end of the world" (thinking he was going to Crickhollow) unaware of how correct her comment was. She was voiced by Kath Soucie.
