    Unserious: wow I’ve never sat down in the cinema to lock into a YouTube video before 

    Serious: this was very human, it did a really good job at capturing what the pandemic felt like for some of us. It was also really well shot, especially for something entirely done in a video game. I laughed a lot, but I also felt for the people involved. Realistically I’d rate this closer to a 4/5 for sheer uniqueness but Letterboxd doesn’t have much room for minutiae in their rating system.

    They should’ve called this movie Igor with the way he literally stole the show! The subtlety in his entire performance stole my heart.

    Mikey Madison also gave an outstanding performance and I hope to see a lot more of her in big roles like this.

    Ivan is a little bitch boy.

    Best part of this movie is how uncontrollably horny this couple is for each other.

    Uncanny valley CGI The Rock X Scorpion will haunt my nightmares…

    This film is what runs through my veins! It’s my favourite romcom that’s technically not a romcom. Evelyn and Rick O’Connell, DO YOU NEED A THIRD?

    So much hotness in one movie I don’t even know who I’m attracted to the most!

    Kinda weird they used one key to unlock every single book and sarcophagus in all of ancient Egypt though…

    I hate seeing Nicolas Cage hurt and crying, stop hurting Nicolas Cage and making him cry !!!
    I wish he’d given the Portland foodie scene the same treatment as he gave that hippie cult in Mandy (2018). I just needed him to reunite with that pig so badlyyyy 😭 this man needs his pig and I desperately needed to see him get that pig back.

    Similar to Mandy, I wish I could live in the first 10 minutes of this movie where he is just living off the grid in the wilderness tasting soil in bliss with that lovely pig.

    Oh to be an elderly Italian man taking his 5 dogs out to encourage them to howl at the full moon !

    I’m going to start a fan page for Nicolas Cage’s chest hair and sweaty arms in this movie now.

    Also I reacted the same way as the older Italian women at the salon when Cher told them to get rid of those grey hairs, FINALMENTE!

    I was howling with laughter throughout this entire film, only taking breaks to blush at Nicky Cage.

    I am undecided on how I feel about Italian Cher though.

    I just love it when the entire cast is a bonkers level serve. Like a really truly amazingly stacked cast. Witchy Cher is my favourite kind of Cher. 

    Every line said in this movie is iconic and quotable. And if there was ever an academy award for hair in a film this one would have it in the bag.

    WHY is the scene of Susan Sarandon and Jack Nicholson playing music together the most steamy sensual thing I’ve ever beheld?…
