Sometimes, to survive, you must become more than you were programmed to be.

As Kyle Broflovski once said to his adopted brother, Ike: "Family isn't about whose blood you have, it's about who you care about."

Our robot protagonist, Roz, certainly embodies this quote in her journey of learning the joys and hardships of raising a child and becoming a adoptive mother with the help of a sly yet wise cracking fox, love is the strongest emotion that can overpower any programming.

A beautifully animated and heartfelt film about mothership and love, The Wild Robot has earned it's place as one of DreamWorks' pantheon of masterpieces showing us our differences can bring others together celebrating the value of compassion and kindness in survival.

It is easy for animals and humans to give in to their natural instincts to do what they must to survive, the circle of life is fascinating and terrifying, there's no easy solution or ways to fix everything. However, no one is never truly alone as long as you choose to open your heart to the people who you call family or friends.

What a September of robots this has certainly been and quite a wonderous one too! Especially robots who believe in the power of empathy and humility can prevail.
