Hello.

To followers and lurkers, another year has come and gone—and to those who’ve stuck around; I could be none more thankful. 2024 for me was a bit of peaking highs, and downward lows. I accomplished a lot this year, mainly regarding my schooling. As I’ve alluded to, I’ve graduated university! It’s still strange to me to reckon with this fact of my life; middle and high school, where I live, drills in the facts of college being the “highest achievement” to strive for. Now that it’s over, I feel…kind of empty? While I’m grateful to accept this honor; I’m not ready to do what college academia people expect you to be right after you’re shown the door. I’m in graduate school now, my second semester comes at the end of January early February; and I’m happy to continue to learn.

On the other hand, this year has also been at rock bottom emotionally. I’ve experienced a giant loss in my personal life a couple months out from the end and I’m still in the middle of grief over it. Not that it doesn’t help that, outside of my own family and some people I know closely online, I don’t have the greatest social life for anyone to talk to. I’m still working on hurt given to me by people I’ve tried talking to (especially one incident last year I won’t go into), and it's hard, very very hard. I won’t ever blame my own mental stability or autism on the matter, it's something I can improve on. 

On a brighter note, however, I’ve learned this year through my writings that there is an audience; whether it be my musings or ones with coherent structure. One thing that has never stopped is my love of the arts, and engaging with the mediums people express themselves with. I’ve grown more in my abilities hopefully, as being shown through feedback on several of my pieces I’ve published (privately and on here). I’m going to continue more so in 2025, with some reviews providing the benchmark on where I want to go; especially this month. I want this to turn into something beyond me having fun here. As per last year, this will still be a “public diary” of sorts, but I’m going to expand upon short musings—hell maybe even take a few extra days to write something when I feel I can say something about it.  

To the new and old people, I’m very grateful you’ve decided to follow me, and I hope whatever I do keeps the reason you did. I’m going to make some lifestyle changes to myself that might bleed into lb quite a bit. One of them being trying to embrace the Christian aspects of myself. Spirituality it’s important to my own self as I get older, and I think it helps me a lot to connect with a greater thing that isn’t just me. Please note that this account will still be a safe space for anyone to interact in; I’m happy to discuss my own personal spiritual beliefs anytime someone asks—but all in all, my considered leftist beliefs will still be in place; even if I refuse to say where I stand due to not reading many political theory books and readings. I’d rather say I believe in “this” when I actually know what I’m talking about. 

Anyways, thank you to everyone who made a difference in my year. I hope you do the same to others and yourself. Everyone deserves love.
