no, this is not an announcement. i actually watched the whole thing, all 10 hours and 7 minutes. it took me two days and four sittings, mostly playing in the background whilst i did other things, not too long but still pretty boring. the only merit found in it is external, as this film was made as a protest against the uk ratings board, they would have to watch all ten hours to assign it a rating. for the film itself, it's really not much, exactly what the title suggests. there is some movement in the paint over the ten hours, but it happens very slowly over time, halfway through even something as minuscule as a new drop of paint forming surprised me. assigning a rating to these types of "pointless" long movies is arbitrary, so i'm going with one star based purely on my enjoyment level.
