A Surprisingly Fresh Horror!
'Longlegs' definitely ventures into a different spectrum from what one might expect in a horror film. To get straight to the point: the first act is slow but intriguing, the second act transitions smoothly as the story picks up pace, and the third act is where everything truly comes to life.
It's great to see original stories finally getting the recognition they deserve. The concept and storyline are fantastic, and the cinematography enhances the overall atmosphere. The cast, especially Nicolas Cage, adds considerable entertainment value. Cage's performance, in particular, stands out and adds a unique flair to the film.
While the ending is divisive for me—I think they could have done more with it—it felt like they held back, possibly due to trying to avoid certain themes. Despite this, the film maintains a nice balance of scare and mystery, offering something new and different. The fresh approach to horror is evident and much appreciated.
