Wow this was amazing!
I recently saw Kogonada’s other film After Yang and I wasn’t a big fan of it. I don’t often find myself engaged in dialogue driven films but this was truly captivating. The gorgeous set pieces and It’s simple yet emotional plot left me wanting more. The ambiguous ending was solid but on the other hand I was interested to know what happens next in Casey and Jin’s life.

Another great film by Nuri Ceylan. Having recently gone to the small city of Göreme Turkey where this was filmed it was cool to see much of the movie take place where I have been. Amazing writing and cinematography. A dialogue heavy film and at 3 hours and 16 minutes it’s a bit slow but the writing and visuals make up for it.

Dune Part 2 is a great film that excels in many things like cinematography and its score. The one thing that was a bit of letdown was I maybe was expecting more of a grand scale sci fi epic. Dont get me wrong it had some amazing scenes that portray this. But a large portion of the film is mostly Paul in arrakis with the fremen. For me right now I would put Dune 2 as slightly better or maybe…

Well directed film but I found the plot to be boring.

A lot of inaccuracies from the book but a great film nonetheless.

This was probably one of the hardest movies to find that I have ever watched. It has essentially been banned from all streaming services and It has been on my watchlist for almost 5 years and I was finally able to watch it. A very bleak and sad movie about a troubled man that kills a man and then befriends the dead man’s daughter with severe special needs. Many scenes just generally made me feel uncomfortable. Overall a great film…

The epitome of a fever dream film. Its Murakami esque plot is confusing but poetic. A mastercraft in visuals and cinematography.
