I don’t get the hype. A film that focuses on the lives of different members of a family but the plot feels disconnected and goes nowhere interesting. Average writing at best and very anticlimactic throughout its 3 hour runtime.

This was probably one of the hardest movies to find that I have ever watched. It has essentially been banned from all streaming services and It has been on my watchlist for almost 5 years and I was finally able to watch it. A very bleak and sad movie about a troubled man that kills a man and then befriends the dead man’s daughter with severe special needs. Many scenes just generally made me feel uncomfortable. Fever dream movie. Very surreal and amazing cinematography but the plot didn’t connect with me. Really wanted to like this one but will possibly enjoy more after a rewatch.
