Probably the film of the year. Beating this will be hard.
I had been looking forward to this a whole lot. Considering how much I love Guadagnino, this might’ve even been one of my most anticipated films of the year. Still, I didn’t expect this to beat any of Guadagnino’s other films. Lo and behold, it did.
“Challengers” is an incredible film. Everything about this is perfect - no notes.
The three lead performances are phenomenal. Zendaya…
“I can’t see myself at 40, to be honest. I’m surprised I even made it to 30”.
“Aftersun” hits hard. An insanely good directorial debut from Charlotte Wells.
Paul Mescal and Frankie Corio are unbelievably phenomenal. Like, they are so good and so authentic. Seriously impressive and Frankie Corio delivers one of the best child-actor performances I’ve ever seen.
The score is absolutely fantastic, the cinematography beyond beautiful and the editing just so good. The film looks absolutely…
I still believe that this is a severely underrated film. It’s simple, it’s dumb, it’s vulgar, it’s short. What’s not to love? It’s got a fantastic cast, a bangin’ soundtrack, it’s pretty hilarious, it’s anti-authoritarian, it’s anti-conformity and it ultimately advocates for people governing themselves because they know what’s best for themselves. It’s about collective self-determination against a stuck-up and conservative system that wants to break your spirit and mould you into a…
With quiet intensity, “Day Night Day Night” turns into so much more than its premise makes you believe.
It’s sober and cold in its presentation, clinical and procedural. Information aren’t fed to you, they’re withheld from you. Dialogue is minimal and unconcerned with the audience. Feelings are internalized and unspoken until they’re too much to bear.
It’s much less a film about domestic terrorism than about loneliness, isolation and inner desperation. About being lost in a sea of people.…
I can’t write about this film without spoiling, so do not, under no circumstances, read this review before you’ve seen the film. I want everyone to have a great and spoiler free experience with the film.
The original “Scream” is my favorite horror film, even one of my top 3 films in general. I love the film and all of it’s sequels, even the third one. So…
Once again, I can’t write about this film without including spoilers and giving away many major things, so please, don’t read this if you haven’t seen the film yet. It’s a great film, so go see it.
After last years “Scream”, I completely trusted Radio Silence and everyone else involved. “Scream” 2022 is an amazing film and I was pretty sure that they’d deliver once again. And they did.
