If you love musicals, go see this. Who am I kidding, if you love musicals, you've probably already seen this a few times, I'm kind of late to the party.
If you don't like musicals, go see this. It will make you rethink that. It's not without its fair share of issues, namely being the director's second movie about Jazz featuring no cultural history of jazz and all the white people.
I do think it's possible to enjoy a film and still have a problem with the way it was made. Definitely the case for me here.
