Pretty delightfully batshit for better and for worse there is so much shit going on in this but some of the sequences here feel like the most fun Burton has had in years. Was kinda hesitant about Keatons performance in this since it’s been so long but he still brings a good amount of the looney tunes esque energy and the effects while they’re a mix of practical and vfxs were awesome in this Even the sandworms are actually stop motion again to the point where it look kinda tacky and goofy it was great lol.
Not as good as the original obviously but I never really expected it to be in a million years I’m just happy I watched a Tim burton movie that I enjoyed for the first time since like the 2000s.
Also Catherine o hara steals the show in this comedically audience laughed at basically every line she spoke.
