    Leigh Whannell’s 4th feature film and the latest universal classic monsters revamp is soul-crushingly stale, while not exactly dissimilar to the themes in his 2020 iteration of The Invisible Man it lacks in innovative direction and cleverness and is replaced with a surprisingly tame and sluggish flick.
