The Three Caballeros 1944
Donald Duck is my favorite of the core Disney characters, and so putting him front-and-center here is definitely something that I'm going to love. I Saw the TV Glow 2024
A moving, chilling look at the things we only know in the dark. Billed as a horror film, it's more of a coming-of-age picture with a horror lens, and is the better for it. Beautifully shot and with some great sound work, it looks at the way that we use our own pop culture interests as surrogates for the identity we're not yet ready to admit to ourselves (or may never be able to share with the world). The final moments, where fear & optimism dance depending on how you view what came before, are a buzzing way to exit the film.
