Umm.. I really don't know what to say about this. It has a lot of ambition, originality and some good performances, particularly that of Jake Gyllenhaal and Toni Colette. At the end of the day, though, simply "being" original doesn't automatically ensure something called a "coherent script". And if I'm being honest, I found a lot of this to be pretty dumb, unsubtle and pretentious as hell. But this is definitely a more love it or hate type of film and while I appreciate it in some ways, it just didn't really work for me like I had hoped it would.
