This movie is like a time capsule. It’s such a cool look at how a short film came together, with just average people. It feels like a genuine slice of life. The re-recording of dialogue scene absolutely killed me—I laughed out loud. I totally get why this is a cult classic, it has unique charm.

I remember hearing a lot of good things when this came out, but I guess that wasn’t true. There are a few good ideas and some solid practical effects sprinkled throughout, but the movie really suffers from some truly terrible performances. Maybe with better actors, it could’ve been a lot better? Unfortunately, the dialogue is so bad at times that it completely tanks this movie.
