You don’t need no makeup to watch this film!

The time and care that went into this! I am genuinely shocked that my husband loved it and that 2 hours and 40 minutes flew by. Give it all the awards.

At first you’re like ok Colin cool it with the gazing and by the end your heart is beating so fast that when the tiny little controlled climax comes it should be disappointing but it is actually lifetime achievement award-worthy.

It’s weird how I know all the lines to this

My kid loved the hand flex!

I have less suspension of disbelief about Gillian resembling Esther than I do about that dude spontaneously combusting and creating his own London fog grease.

I have so many questions but also no questions at all!

  • Airplane!

    Airplane!

    ★★★★½

It’s a movie with a thousand funny jokes, but that’s not important right now

  • Let It Be

    Let It Be

    ★★★

It’s weird how the 8 hour version of this is so much better, but it’s got a narrative structure and better direction so I guess not weird at all.

You should skip this and watch Get Back if you want to feel feelings. My heart wants to blow up whenever I see John do anything, and I felt mostly just boredom. If you’re gonna watch that journey to the rooftop, you’re gonna want some context. Billy Preston deserves it.

Replace all the music with the thunderstorm in Beethoven 6, Vivaldi’s “Sunmer,” and “O Fortuna,” and you’ve got yourself a 5-star movie.

  • The Marvels

    ★★

Hooray for women but I’m tired of aliens and glowy things and whatever this storyline has become. Let’s move on with our lives.
