At first you’re like ok Colin cool it with the gazing and by the end your heart is beating so fast that when the tiny little controlled climax comes it should be disappointing but it is actually lifetime achievement award-worthy.

It’s weird how the 8 hour version of this is so much better, but it’s got a narrative structure and better direction so I guess not weird at all.
You should skip this and watch Get Back if you want to feel feelings. My heart wants to blow up whenever I see John do anything, and I felt mostly just boredom. If you’re gonna watch that journey to the rooftop, you’re gonna want some context. Billy Preston deserves it.

Replace all the music with the thunderstorm in Beethoven 6, Vivaldi’s “Sunmer,” and “O Fortuna,” and you’ve got yourself a 5-star movie.
