i truly didn’t think this movie could get any better but experiencing it with a live orchestra had me literally ascending. also i need to especially point out the insane cheers (myself included ofc) when miles threw the bagel at spot, like I know him!!!!!! the broadway sinfonietta was the orchestra playing and it’s an all women and primarily woc orchestra!!!!! <3 they were incredible. and they had a dj spinning and scratching along with them, it was so sick!
scores & soundtracks remain one of my favorite aspects of film, i love how it can completely transform a scene and yet still hold so much weight on its own, i listen to my favorite scores more than i listen to most artists, its so special to me and i’m so incredibly grateful to have this experience. i love the way they use music in this and in across the spiderverse as well—daniel pemberton does some insane work and i love how it mixes with the soundtrack. the slower more emotional pieces mixed with modern hip hop, i was crying, i was cheering, i was smiling!!!! made a perfect movie even more perfect. also daniel pemberton was there!!!!! and he did the whistling for the school scene and the pen clicking for fisk and i have truly never laughed harder, he slayed!
