Saying I've been waiting my whole life for this is just barely an exaggeration.
It is truly so exciting to have more time with these characters. I teared up during the opening credits. It is funny and true to the original, down to the score, tone, visuals, special effects, etc.
I love Willem Dafoe as much as the next gal, but he and Monica Bellucci didn't have enough of a payoff for it to be worth including their plotlines. It would have been better cutting those threads to spend more time on the core cast.
