Discover Your True Nature
Dreamworks' The Wild Robot is a masterpiece, hands down. The visuals are gorgeous, the soundtrack is incredible, the writing is phenomenal, the cast is brilliant, the story is an emotional roller-coaster, and the characters are amazing. It's a truly breathtaking film in aspects all across the board
It's definitely one of the best films Dreamworks has made (which says a lot when you think about how many awesome things they've made - including How To Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Shrek 2 and Puss In Boots: The Last Wish), and I'd even go as far as to call it one of the best animated pictures of all time. It's a simple idea but it's executed in such a beautiful way
It made me cry three times, and once was even just when the credits rolled. And I'm the kind of guy that didn't cry during Toy Story 3, so that's definitely saying something!
If you haven't seen it yet, please be sure to check it out on the big screen while you still can. If you can get into a showing without annoying kids, then it'll definitely be worth the time and money (if you want to avoid kids, do what I did and go on a weekday during the early hours of the afternoon - when most kids are either asleep or at school, and when their parents would also be working). Believe me when I say that this is one to see in theatres
It's cute, it's emotional, it's wholesome and it's all-around phenomenal. Even in a year with Dune: Part Two, it's a contender for the best film of 2024, and it definitely deserves to be up there with Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, Soul and Puss In Boots: The Last Wish as one of the best animated films of the decade so far! It's a true work of art, and it was an incredible cinema experience
