The Elephant Man is devastating but at the same time it fills your soul with happiness, seeing how they begin to treat him as a human being and not as a beast in a show, John Hurt is a great actor and Lynch recognizes him as "simply the greatest actor in the world." It is sad to know that this type of discrimination still exists and that this happened in the nineteenth century which only leaves us as beings that no matter how much we advance technologically our values do not evolve and we remain like the animals that we are.
Technically this is simply 10/10, the music, the sound, the performances, the cinematography, maybe the editing not so much but all together makes this a masterpiece.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>David Lynch's Dune was originally going to last 3 hours and it was because Lynch knew exactly what was needed to tell this story but I think we already know what happens when someone has a tremendous vision that is ruined by studios and his stinginess. Although I feel that the three-hour version would still be good but not enough since the shooting also had several problems. In the end we are left with a film that feels too rushed and with a tremendous production design that is wasted not only because it is rushed but because sometimes the performances looked very strange. It could have been a great movie but since the studios wanted to compete with Star Wars, we can already see what happened.
P.S. I really liked the soundtrack by TOTO.

]]>David Lynch went to a better place today a few hours ago.
I have seen very little of him but I definitely know that he is one of the best American filmmakers who have ever existed and one of the most influential of this century. How sad it is to know that he has left, and the worst of all is that if he had a new movie Netflix did not want to finance it.
Rest in peace Lynch.
And talking about the short film, it was really funny and I want a film of Barbie but Lynchian.

]]>***One of the best 75 films I’ve ever seen***
It's Such a Beautiful Day transcends animation, this is more than an animated film that talks about life. It is life itself, few films can capture the feeling that it is to really live, not everyone has the power to enjoy life and feel it, that cannot be achieved with money or with some other type of luxury, it is achieved by living and spending time with people who are truly worth it, learning from life, exploring, doing any action that benefits you and those around you.
Don Hertzfeldt makes a masterpiece where the duration feels the same as life itself when we don't enjoy it, that's why maybe in the end when Bill really lives everything goes slower. These types of films with metaphysical touches like Tarkovsky's Zerkalo or Malick's The Tree of Life that can be fanciful are the ones that have changed my life the most, those that have made me think for hours and those that changed my way of seeing life (in a good way). This film is the perfect example that animation is more than childish, it is another form of art that can deepen the same as a "normal" film.
Technically this is a masterpiece that everyone should see at least once in their life, from the exceptional use of the juxtaposition with dreams to the implementation of real life elements mixed with animation that refer to what he is finally living, and that the past, present and future are in perfect harmony and he will no longer have to imagine things that are not or pretend that everything is fine, now he is really living.
One of the best moments of my life was when I realized how beautiful I was, the things I had to do, everything I would have to explore and much more. It was at that moment that I said "It's such a beautiful day."
Thank you for reading this review and I hope you have a very beautiful day, God bless you and goodbye.

Even so, this is beautiful and one of my favorite short films of all time

]]>So Everything will be ok use Má Vlast which is one of my favorite musical pieces now I Am So Proud of You has Das Rheingold by Richard Wagner (another of my favorite musical pieces of all time). When I see this, a tear almost comes out, I don't know how to explain it but I think I'm afraid of ending up like Bill, I'm afraid that in the end my whole life will only be wanting to return. I have to live in the moment, take advantage of every second, I feel that since I approached God I finally feel happy, although not all the time I am well. But I think I'm making progress. These may become my favorite short films.
97/100
]]>Don Hertzfeldt you are a genius, the narration is as if a comedian who is a genius had the task of narrating a story about life. I absolutely loved everything, the visuals, the animation, the music (and more because Má Vlast is one of my favorite pieces of music), the editing, the sound and everything that comes out in the short film. It made me think for a while and it's funny because at the same time I laughed at what was happening here. I already said it before Hertzfeldt you are a genius.

]]>Richard Linklater is a filmmaker that I like a lot, he is someone that each of his films feels fresh (or at least for me), and he is part of a new wave of filmmakers that began to emerge in the 90s in the United States. His films are aimed more at a young audience and that shows due to the themes that most of his films have.
Before Sunrise is the first part of a trilogy that is praised by people for how it delves into romantic relationships in a rather unique and human way, although this is not my favorite romantic film I have to admit that it is very good and I think it is one of my new "comfort films". What a great film and super recommended if you like Linklater movies and more if you are someone who loves romantic films.

]]>Since I saw that tremendous intro I knew that I was about to see an excellent movie. I can't explain how much I loved the soundtrack and I feel that it's one of those that won't stop sounding in my head for a long time (sadly it's not on Spotify so it won't be on my playlist).
Aronofsky is a great filmmaker and that is shown by films like this, Requiem for A Dream and Black Swan although I am still missing some of his films. This surreal piece with touches of science fiction is one of the best I've seen lately and it's almost a masterpiece. Besides, it is his first work which has inspired me a little since this shows that it was made with little money but it is still an excellent film that no cinephile can miss.

]]>“Oh captain, my captain.”
This film is one of my favorites in terms of American cinema we talk about (from the 80s), Peter Weir is one of the only directors who has been able to work with actors who are known for comedy and make them in dramatic actors and not only fulfill but they do impeccable performances. Obviously I was referring to Robin Williams here and Jim Carrey on the Truman Show.
The most popular reviews of Letterboxd made me think that this was a super overvalued movie since most were jokes and that didn't say anything, which I don't like about Letterboxd, very rarely do you see a real review at the top.
What a good movie and I think everyone should watch it.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>A film with a pretty good concept but I feel that it doesn't become what many people say.
I had high expectations of this and in the end I was disappointed (but that doesn't take away the fact that it's good), the film has some inspirations from Tarkovsky's Solaris and also from other space movies, the plot twist I think was seen coming from the beginning or I think only for me.
The visual effects are strange and looked very fake, the cinematography was normal but I think all this is saved by Sam Rockwell who does a pretty good performance. I do recommend this movie but I really think it's far from being one of the best space movies of the century.

]]>Throughout this wonderful film I noticed Tony Kaye's clear inspiration for Malick's cinema, which grabs more inspiration from The Thin Red Line a little for its cinematography in some scenes and for its narrative style. Cinematography is very similar to that of a documentary which makes this feel more real than it already is, a devastating story that teaches us in a very raw way to American society and how it is not as the movies propose it (I am not saying that all schools are like that but not everything is perfect as many media tell).
Adrien Brody is one of the best actors of these times, his acting skills are one of the best I've ever seen and this film only shows that he not only acts but lives what happens here. The music is sad and depressing, one of the best uses of music in any film and this soundtrack is perfectly made that it is ironic to see this next to lives that are anything but perfect.
2011 was the same year that The Tree of Life came out and my head blows like that it gave me back hope in the world and in humanity but it's just shattered my hope. Although not completely, the human being is known for standing out and facing problems, maybe there are some who have no other and end up with their suffering but there will be others who will fight not only for themselves but also for the people around them, Henry Barthes is the protagonist but unlike many American films this protagonist is not a perfect man, but he is a human protagonist, like us, someone who cares about others and will help his neighbor no much as he does not earn anything in return. Although he is not a perfect person, he will try to be the person the world needs, no matter how much the world destroys him.
One of the greatest masterpieces of American cinema of the last decade, Adrien Brody has earned my respect and has become one of my favorite actors.

]]>This is one of the most terrifying, harsh, grotesque, heartbreaking and almost everything negative short films in the world that I have ever seen. It originally came out in 1979 but the USSR banned it, I think because of the deaths shown here more than because of the political message (since here we see the Nazis as monsters, and we see sequences in the Soviet Union suffering and which many interpreted as the death of Hitler only brought more suffering to Russia), this short film by Sokurov is a must-see work and even more so if you are so interested in this heartbreaking stage in the history of humanity. Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>I have always believed that Chomón has always been in the shadow of Melies and it is sad since he was a great film director, although he did manage to make a crude copy of Melies' Le Voyage dans la Lune. This short film should have more recognition because of all the effort that went into it and how innovative it must have been. The scene in reverse is one of the best scenes I have seen in cinema from that era.
Another thing I want to say is that here I notice a lot that cinema was in search of its identity, since here we see something more theatrical and still we can see the montage (which clearly was not the best at that time) but which makes the Cinema is so different from other arts.
75/100
]]>George Melies is one of the great masters of cinema, in this small short film we can already see what the magic of cinema is, we see the cuts, the acting, the narrative, the editing, the effects and everything.

]]>Well, I honestly don't know what to tell you since I was expecting a much better short film (and I'm not referring to the quality, as we all know that image quality does not make a good film like Who Killed Captain Alex?) and it also has a 4.4 which It inflated my expectations a little more than it actually is, it is not bad and it has an interesting concept, because we see the story of two people who are always fighting and it touches on topics such as the Iraq and Iran wars and perhaps the strong of the short it would be a message political or something like that but honestly I couldn't find anything. Another thing is that maybe the two are the same person and it is the reflection of someone with a fragmented life caused by the war.

“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.”
Isaiah 66:13
Aleksandr Sokurov breaks all the rules that Eisenstein proposed with the montage and this is not only seen here but in the work that promulgated him as a genius in the cinema Russian Ark which is a film shot in a single take. But that is not today's topic, today I want to talk to you about this masterpiece of contemplative cinema that will break your soul into thousands of pieces, a film that no matter how long it lasts an hour and ten minutes will feel like the passing of a few days, and this is not exactly bad. Seeing a son accompany his dying mother in her last days is what breaks me the most, since in this life at some point something similar will happen to us.
This work is similar to Tarkovsky's Zerkalo (one of my favorite films) and it also raises the relationship between a mother and a son, nothing more than this does it in a different way, but still you can see the influence of it. Although Sokurov shows nature in a unique way, using anamorphic lenses that capture a dreamlike and visually beautiful world that makes us feel in a quiet place, and this can also be said to be part of the work of the excellent sound that puts you in the film and makes you feel that you are next to them and next to this devastating journey through a beautiful landscape.
A tear came out of me when I saw this, I have a mother who loves us very much thank God, she is the best mom I could have had, with her I don't need anything and I know that sometimes I have failed her but I have always wanted to be the son she deserves. I know that one day she won't be there for me, to listen to my problems and help me solve them. But I also know that one day we will find ourselves in paradise, and we will live eternally next to the Lord.
"Be patient, dear mother.
Wait for me..."
This is dedicated to you mom, I love you with all my being and I will do everything possible to make you feel like the mother you are.
A miracle from God.

ENGLISH REVIEW:
I'd rather see a 10-hour compilation of people insulting Mexico than see this filth again.
There are bad and good movies. This is such a bad one that I can't even consider it a movie.
This 2024 I don't know if it was the best year for cinema but it was definitely a good one (although so far I haven't given any 5 stars, at least until I see the brutalist who promises a lot). And I did see quite a few bad movies like Terrifier 3, Ricky Stanicky, Despicable me 4 and Deadpool and Wolverine among many others. But this transcends all the bad. Ladies and gentlemen, that movie is Emilia Pérez (or how to make fun of an entire country effortlessly).
I'm doing the review on par with the Golden Globes and seeing that it already won 3 including best foreign film those awards lost all my respect, now they look more like a cheap joke of pure entertainment (just like this mugrero).
They will wonder why I'm saying it's rubbish if I haven't even talked about why. It was to capture his attention and now let's start.
The story is about a drug dealer who wants to stop being bad so he undergoes surgeries to become a woman and change his identity, for this he kidnaps a lawyer who is very good but is very undervalued to help her. WHAT? Let's see, maybe they think it's very out of context but that's how the whole movie is, and believe me that the performances are just as terrible as the script (and still won an award???). I mean, not even Televisa would dare to do an atrocity like that anymore.
I have seen many people saying that "it represents the danger of crime very well," "those who did not like it is because either they have not seen it or do not know what is happening in the country." Believe me that we know better than them what happens here, this is a mockery of all the people who have gone through things like this, and not only in Mexico but throughout Latin America.
Now I want to talk about the director, this privileged French man who refused to go to Mexico because he already had an idea of what it would be like and that would be enough for them. So yes, the whole movie is part of a vision of someone who probably saw the Netflix series Narcos and said "Hey and if we make a movie of a Narco who wants to become a woman to be a good person, and then also who wants to do something against those who disappear people. Wow, I'm a genius." And he's not the whole problem, the casting people don't know anything, I don't remember why but they didn't choose or look for anyone from Mexico to maintain a "diversity" that doesn't even work. Selena Gomez is a terrible actress and nothing can change my mind, they seriously saw that and said "wow this is perfect" and everyone else makes any accent except the Mexican one.
This mud is the type of movie that privileged people make in order to entertain an audience while the movies that do deserve attention are forgotten because they do not entertain or because they show and really much more raw than they could ever imagine. Don't get me wrong that the truth is that there are foreign films about Mexico that are good since they do take the time to investigate the social status of the country like Luis Buñuel's masterpiece Los Olvidados and many others.
This is the worst movie of 2024.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>A fairly well done film (as expected) and very entertaining, the youngest will love this film and for those who are fans of these adventures of Wallace and Gromit you can't miss this. ]]>My first short film of 2025 and what a good decision to have seen this one.
A little being makes a magical journey through an unknown world to reach his friend. That's the plot and it seems to be very simple but when you see this masterpiece of Soviet animation you will realize why this is a 100/100. Easily one of the best animated shorts of all time, its incredible animation ahead of its time makes this not feel like 1975. What a great year for cinema.

Battle Royale is for me the best film with this concept of teenagers in a dystopian world, and thanks to it there are most films or books of that style.
This film is ingenious, brutal and incredible. The use of classical music has to be one of the best uses I've ever seen in films. Such a calm and beautiful melody in a world full of sin.
Excellent film and one of the pioneers in this subgenre.

]]>SEASON 2 REVIEW
It would have been better if I used these 7 hours to watch Satantango or War and Peace (1965)
This second season is not up to par with the first (although the first is not a masterpiece), but it is a good series, since once it starts it is impossible for it to bore you and lose your attention. Although I believed that this second season is unnecessary and that it would just be another attempt by Netflix to generate more money based on things that worked more than they had planned, this second season was justified and even added interesting things. One of the most interesting things was the parallelism with the matrix, having two options, whether to stay or leave. Staying is continuing to live a lie, not wanting to accept reality and believing that they will finally be able to get rid of their mistakes even though the results may be fatal. On the other hand, leaving is accepting the harsh reality and facing all the problems, even though they may be. If things don't go so well for them in life, they would rather live like this than die. One part where we can see this is when the person who invites them to the games buys lottery tickets and bread to go to people in need and present the two options. Many chose the tickets and none of them won, in the end they did want them but eventually he ends up destroying them in their eyes.
I won't do a review for the first season since that means rewatching it and the truth is I'm not that eager, and I wouldn't like to do a review based on what I remember because I could be wrong.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>The best horror movie of 2024 hands down.
If this is not nominated for best photography, best makeup, best production design, best soundtrack and best sound at the Oscars. I will never see the Oscars again, and even less if one of them is won by Emilia Pérez.
Robert Eggers is becoming one of my favorite filmmakers in this new wave of directors, he is one of the only ones who have come to have a unique style both visual and narrative. With visceral films that immerse you inside the film, with spectacular photography that shows a beauty in the dark.
Although I didn't like it more than the original, I must admit that it exceeded many expectations I had from this film, I didn't know that I thought I would take this film, I thought it would be a copy of the original but with the characteristic touch of Eggers but in the end I end up surprising myself by telling a more erotic story about Ellen and Count Orlock. If we talk about the technical, this is a masterpiece, you have to see it in the cinema because otherwise it won't be the same, and I don't know what to say about everyone's impeccable performances, I love that his performance is reminiscent of the cinema of yesteryear with performances a little more dramatic and more exaggerated (which is not bad).
The story changes a little since now it is a curse thanks to the fact that Ellen is a lustful woman who was very desperate to have someone by her side, and the plague would basically be like her sin and how that sin would end up causing a wave of misfortunes and deaths. Maybe some don't like this interpretation but I think it makes the story more complete, and if this is not better than Nosferatu by Murnau but it is a great reinterpretation.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

]]>What a great way to start the year, how not to start the year with my favorite filmmaker of 2024 and probably my favorite filmmaker of all time (together with Tarkovsky). I hope that this year you can fulfill all your resolutions and that this year is full of blessings for all of you.
If I could describe Malick's cinema with one word it would definitely be "Transcendental". Each of his films are masterfully written poems accompanied by a series of exquisitely elaborated images. Each of his films has helped me understand this universe and how it works, in the same way it has brought me closer to God and thanks to the tree of life I became a faithful follower of the Lord, this film may have been the one that has influenced me the least but anyway it is still a great movie.
When I saw this film I couldn't think of anything other than this verse: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for it. From Ephesians 25-5. Which I have heard countless times but I had never given him the attention I should give him as now.
The story not only tells about marriage but also about a world where industrialism is everywhere, polluting areas full of families that prevent them from growing up healthy and poisoning their future. And although this comes out very little in the movie I quite like how Malick tells us a little what the supposed American dream would be, since Marina and her daughter came with Neil thinking that they would have a better life, similar to what happened with many people in real life.
Father Quintana is my favorite character, with the tremendous performance of Javier Bardem, this character is a way of teaching what love is in Christ and it is not about feelings but about commitment and duty.
Thank you Terrence Malick for changing my life and bringing me closer to God our Lord, I would love it if one day you could read this (as much as it is almost impossible). Thank you for reading and may God bless you all.

]]>This movie is literally a few dollars and a dream.
This is a review that is not made anything else by the meme, everything I say here is truly what I think about this film, having said that, let's start.
First of all, Why did I gave it 5 stars? For the simple fact that this is a work that revolutionizes cinema as we know it, destroys schemes, this film makes fun of itself and is aware that it is not the best film in the world, but what makes it special is that this film is made with love, the effort is very noticeable and how they manage to do something great with so little, this is a love letter to the action movies of Jean Claude Van Damme, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, since Nabwana is a big fan of those films.
It's impressive how with the budget of the movie basically anything else could have been done, such as: a plan with friends, a party among other things. This has left him a lot to think about, especially when I want to make films and I feel that sometimes I need more money for certain things. And look at this, a movie made with apparently 200 dollars has managed to be one of the best action movies I've ever seen (not ironically) even the action scenes are super well choreographed, the effects of the shots didn't feel so crappy (at least not for me) and the cinematography was "good" and I can't imagine how this movie would have been with a much bigger budget, although that might take away the soul of the film.
When Nabwana did this, he never believed that people outside his town would see it, which gives it a more personal touch and fills my soul with joy to know that his film and others are coming to be recognized, as they should be. Another thing is that this is dedicated to his grandmother and what a lucky grandmother she must be, imagine that your grandson with a little of his knowledge in technology makes a movie about something he likes. Ramon Films name comes from his two grandmothers, Rachel and Monica, who were quite influential in his life, since they raised him in the best possible way during a very hard time, the Ugandan civil war.
I would love to talk a little about how funny it was to see this movie, the VJ makes everything in some way much more laughable and also works as a guide through the story. I also don't think that here it's so bad that it's good because I really felt it was good, it's not like Velocipastor or The Room this is more like a unique film of its kind, which as I said before reinvents cinema and makes us think about things like making a movie a good movie.
I hope you liked the review since that's how we do them in Uganda, God bless you all.

SPANISH REVIEW:
Razones para ver esta película:
•Mexicana
•Western

ENGLISH REVIEW:
Reasons to watch this movie:
•Mexican
•Western
•By Ismael Rodríguez
•Ignacio López Tarso is here
•It's super advanced for the time
•It's on my list of favorite movies
Los Hermanos del Hierro is a western that deals with the story of two brothers who lose their father, followed by their mother instilled revenge in them to murder the man who killed their father.
Visually Rodríguez bathed her, there is a scene where they make use of the POV resource which I never imagined seeing is a movie from the 60s. This is an expressionist work full of shots that put you in the landscape, it is a super immersive work thanks to that. Each character is perfectly constructed in such a way that each one is like a piece of a puzzle that fits perfectly into a beautiful work of art.
Ismael wants to tell us a different version where they show a face never seen before of the heroes that were seen in the Mexican golden cinema, it could be considered that it is an anti-western due to several elements that it carries with it.
The best Mexican western without a doubt. (I can never do anything better than this)

]]>Happy Christmas!!!
Remember to have a great time with all your loved ones! With nothing else to say, I say goodbye.
One of the most heartwarming films of the year.
Sing Sing is a unique film of its kind, it has quite a few similarities with many films like Shawshank Redemption. But that doesn't lower points to this movie. The cinematography is one of the best I've seen this year and I can't describe Colman Domingo's tremendous performance, and not only him but all the other actors. Watch it but now, I loved it and I'm sure you'll love it too.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

P.S. Hi, Me and my best friend Alex are making a list just like the Oscars and the Golden Globes where we are going to nominate and then to reward some films. Here is the List
***One of the best 75 films I’ve ever seen.***
2 years after Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966) Sergio Leone releases what for me is his best movie and not only that but also the best western in history! It is the first installment of the undervalued “Once Upon A Time” trilogy... as much as I have not seen the other two I can assure you that nothing will beat this one, it definitely left the bar very high.
As you may already know, the Western is one of my favorite genres, more than anything because my grandfather loves it and he was the one who instilled it in me since I was little, so each of these films connects a lot with me.
In technical aspects this is a masterpiece, the beautiful soundtrack of Ennio Morricone (who never disappoints), the cinematography made by anyone other than Tonino Delli Colli, the performances of Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson and the spectacular Claudia Cardinale, having Dario Argento in collaboration with Ennio Morricone and Bertolucci make this one of the greatest films of all time. If Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966) had one of the best endings in history, this one had one of the best beginnings in history.
The purpose of the film is to show us the rise of industrialism in the United States, more specifically the West. In a world where what was already established will have to change so that the country can progress and when I say that it has to change it is not always changing in a good way.
Thanks to this and Leone's other films, I can tell you for sure that we are talking about one of the best filmmakers in history. Some may disagree but what they won't be able to do is make me change my mind.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
God bless you.

]]>This is how I end one of the most important trilogies in the history of cinema, I know I saw it backwards but that didn't change the experience at all. I would like to see more of the trio of Clint Eastwood, Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone.
Throughout the trilogy I realized that it is a saga that deals with the United States civil war and how it advances not only technologically but also socially. Sergio Leone is one of the most important cinema masters in the history of humanity, perhaps this film was not originally made by him (Since it was based on Kurosawa's Yojimbo 1961) but that does not take away from the fact that we are facing one of the best westerns ever made.
Thanks for reading and God bless you all.

Nominada a Mejor Película, Dirección (Lila Avilés)

ENGLISH REVIEW:
Totem: Object of nature, generally an animal, which in the mythology of some societies is taken as a protective emblem of the tribe or individual, and sometimes as an ascendant or progenitor.
Nominated for Best Film, Direction (Lila Avilés),
Female Co-Acting (Montserrat Marañón), Actorial Revelation (Naíma Sentíez) Original Script Male Co-Acting (Mateo García Elizondo) Female Co-Acting (Teresa Sánchez) Female Co-Acting (Marisol Gasé) Actoral Revelation (Saori Gurza) Photography (Diego Tenorio) Edition , Art Design, Clothing, Makeup and Sound in the Ariel awards winning the first 5, Tótem is one of the most important films of the 21st century in terms of Mexican cinema. And they will ask themselves, what makes this movie one of the most important? Let me explain.
We all know that Mexican cinema is full of movies idealizing the drug, vulgar comedies, violence and a long etc. Every now and then someone appears who cares about cinema, and knows that it is a means to express ourselves, and that person breaks all kinds of stereotypes of Mexican cinema and manages to make a completely personal work. In this case Lila Avilés is that person.
Totem is a simple movie but at the same time it is a personal story, a story that if it feels made from the depths of the heart, it is a minimalist work (like Duck Season 2004) that focuses on a 7-year-old girl named Sol, who is in a rather difficult situation since her father is in a very serious state. So throughout the film we will follow Sol and his dysfunctional family trying to enjoy those last moments they have left.
I'm going to play some Spoilers around here.
As for the end, Nolan would die to make an ending as good as this one. Throughout the film we see animals that do not hurt, examples: the snail, the fish, the mantis that appears very little time. But right at the end we can already see a scorpion that is a harmful animal, a very dangerous one. This may mean that life is gone, there is no longer life in that place, implying that Tona ended up dying, we don't know when but surely it didn't last long. The scene is located in the same bed where Tona slept, now we see it all destroyed, with an vibe that there have been no one there for a long time. It could be said that this happens moments before the death of the sun, referring to the question that Sol asked herself before in the film.
Here end the spoilers.
I can't talk about this film without talking about the tremendous performance of Naíma Sentíes who plays Sol in an excellent way, at no time does it feel like she is acting, it feels as if all this is happening right now, something real. And well, they were all incredible. Technically speaking this is a masterpiece.
Personally, I felt this film as a part of me, since similar issues have passed with my family, obviously it is not the same but I do understand what they are going through. I was 7 years old when we got the news that my uncle had passed away. For my whole family that was devastating, to the point that I felt that the family was no longer so united after that, I don't even want to know the pain that my cousins must have gone through. It's really an event that not even the worst person in the world deserves. Years later they told me what happened to him, which devastated me even more. But well, in the end I learned to adapt to the situation and learn from all those obstacles that God puts on us to make us stronger.
Enjoy every second with your family, it's something priceless.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.

ustedes.

ENGLISH REVIEW:
I'm from Monterrey Nuevo León, the film is set in Monterrey Nuevo León, and I thought I knew this city like the back of my hand. And now I started watching this movie and I realized how wrong I was.
It's impressive how there is a whole culture that I didn't know existed a few minutes from where I live, it's not because I'm ignorant or anything, but because I never started thinking about all those people who live in that area. I've been there several times and I always thought it would be like where I live but in his own way, I was completely wrong. 2010 (the year I was born) was apparently a very hard time for Nuevo León and for all of Mexico in general, thanks to a wave of violence caused by the fight against drug trafficking.
I heard that there were people (probably whitexicans) who complained that the movie did not represent Monterrey well. It may be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my life. And to be honest with you, this movie didn't make me feel identified, I live in San Pedro and thank God I haven't had to be in a dangerous situation, when I go to my grandparents' house in Contry I've had to hear the odd bullet every two by three but thank God it hasn't grown up. Even so, I have always been afraid of all those people with bad intentions, since every day there are murders and I am very afraid to be one of them.
But well, the film is about the interconnection between identity and culture and how to discover who you are when you are no longer here. Ulysses' identity is relative to his culture, and exists only within his group of friends, his neighborhood and the music and the particular fashion of the Kolombia movement.
Daniel García Treviño's performance is spectacular, more to be his debut. And the setting is one of the best things that this movie delivers. And not to mention the direction of Luis Fernando Frías de la Parra.
This has become one of my favorite Mexican movies, not only because of how excellent it is, but because it personally means a lot to me.
Thank you for reading and may God bless you all.

]]>Past Lives. A film about identity, about establishing ourselves as human beings in this world, with the jobs we choose, the people we keep close and what we would like to become without forgetting where we come from.
One of the main themes of the film is love and destiny that are accompanied by the Korean Buddhist concept of In-Yun which means the connection, destiny and fate of two people.
This is Celine Song's first movie, it doesn't seem the truth, this movie looks a lot like Linklater and Wong Kar-Wai movies. But this one feels different, it feels like a sincere letter to what love is, to what it comes to do to us as people.
The music is beautiful and the cinematography perfectly captures the essence of the film, the script is a genius and the Oscar nomination for best screenplay is super deserved and I would even say that it should have won it.
Past Lives became one of my favorite movies of 2023 and also of this decade, I look forward to the next work of this great filmmaker.
That was all and see you later

]]>Charlie Chaplin is a genius and this film and many others prove it.
Modern Times is a super innovative film and is one of the most important films of all time. The reason? The reason for this is for his incredible criticism of industrialization and labor exploitation, all this happens in the peaks of the Great Depression.
I can't talk about this wonder without mentioning her genius in making quite comical scenes, many scenes killed me laughing and seeing her in class I feel that she made me laugh much more since we were all laughing.
P.S. I can't imagine how great it would be to talk to Chaplin

]]>Most confusing Saga ever
(Chronological Order)
The film talk about the first steps of the driver
A spinoff of the driver but it’s a taxi instead a normal car
(There will be a crossover between the driver and taxi driver trust me)
The first one
A spinoff that has nothing to do with these films
But expands the DCU (Drive Cinematic Universe)
Idk if this is canon but it says taxi
The sequel of the son of the driver I think
A soft reboot but instead New York it’s located in Seoul
The remake no one wanted (not canon)
This is not canon but Adam driver is, because Adam driver is the cousin of Driver (Ryan Gosling) and he also it’s part of the DCU
This movie is the most confusing of all, it is not known if it is canon or not but it does have connections with the previous ones.
