Pretty good self-contained suspense flick. Doesn’t show anything groundbreaking but the presentation is top notch, my whole theater was definitely engaged(despite some older ladies talking a bit towards the end). Nic Cage is great as ever.
I enjoyed the slow burn for the most part even if I dozed off once or twice. And while I am always a champion for new, fresh and original films, I would 100% be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking “man I could be watching deadpool right now” in the slower middle act. But then again, I’m just not the biggest horror guy.
