Lights dimmed down. The purple shades cascaded along the shapes of it all. The wide-eyed faces, staring on in excitement, dreams of a technicolor fantasy long gone, long fulfilled, or still waiting. Now, all that's left is the therapy of a piano key and a strong shot. But then, the ballad begins. Those rolling, tapping keys careen around the melody of your life, snapshots of beautiful memories, a warm album of everything that was waiting there before you took a ticket to a stardom always longed for. Future memories of love, children, an entire life, drifting into nothingness like a city of stars in a rising dawn. Happiness. And everything it was going to bring.
This is what it could've been. This is what it is now. This is what it will never be.
