When David Gordon Green rebooted the franchise with Halloween (2018), he offered a look into what could be a promising future for Michael Myers. It was a genuinely good slasher that promised big things for the new trilogy. When the sequel dropped, Halloween Kills proved to be nothing more than boorish filler, something I hoped that would not carry over into what was supposed to be this climactic finale. But Halloween Ends has proven itself to be even more vapid that its predecessor. There is nothing exciting here, no creative or interesting kills, and stupid new characters are introduced that are completely worthless.
The only redeeming part of this experience was going to a new AMC that delivered pretzel nuggets right to our seats. Now that’s a real W.
