Ok so the costuming is beautiful and so good, Willem Dafoe’s triple tiered cape coat is so rad and all the dresses and headpieces are gorgeous. Many scenes give those beautiful moments of framing and lighting all coming together in that classic Eggers way that I appreciate a lot. Somehow I never saw this movie despite being a 90s kid and it is maybe my new favorite Christmas movie. unbelievably sweet, very witty and funny and let’s be so for real, this is a trans narrative.
