This was fun & pretty & absurd at times, but i’m not sure it’s saying anything new. Having experienced first-hand the violence of the image of this so-called "stereotypical Barbie" and the feminine ideal she embodies, i didn’t need to be reminded that the experience of being a woman is painful & contradictory and ideas last f o r e v e r. I’m living it. I love and respect Greta & her work, but i wish we hadn’t received this interrogation of womanhood…

"What a lovely throat."
Yes!! This struck the balance between creepy & campy that i was missing in the new one!! I loved the haunting musical refrain & dramatic noir lighting & the exaggerated gestures & all of Nosferatu’s freaky lil facial expressions (!!)
Think i need to rewatch the silent film now & decide my fav iteration
