Love this film top to bottom, but especially the incredible tonal shifts that happen so naturally and gradually. 2hrs that absolutely flys by as you grow to know and care about everyone in that bank.
Also, if you ever have the chance to see Al Pacino do a Q&A, do not hesitate. Unsurprisingly, he works the room like nobody else.
Speaking of legends, 1st AD Burtt Harris giving Pacino the iconic "Attica" idea, just incredible shit.
Absolute favorite section of this was Thomas trapped in Count Orlok’s castle. Hoult’s performance here and the hallucinatory way we drift through time was just a (terrifying) joy. I needed about 2hr more there (sorry, Thomas).
Also great reminder that I need to rewatch Dracula: Dead and Loving It
