Took me a few minutes to warm up to this, initially due to disappointment it was the mystery movie (even though I told myself I'd be okay with it) and then fear it was gonna be just another little asshole kid movie like Didi. To my great relief it wasn't! Eventually winning me over, specifically with it's heartwarming, wisdom filled last act!
Ending outta the blue punched me in the feels! Got some genuine tears and emotions outta me!
Aubrey Plaza's so well known for and so good at comedy I sometimes forget she excels at drama as well! (was gonna say I wish she was in the movie more but she's honestly probably in it the exact right amount)
I was a big fan of the TV show Nashville so cool seeing Maisy Stella all grown up and getting good work!
Kinda want to know more about the state of the world her future self came from?! Seriously what was going on there?!
Closing credits kicked in around the 80 minute mark, my young ass would've considered that a negative but my old ass has learned to appreciate shorter runtimes!
