“The dust has come to stay. You may stay or pass on through or whatever.”

This may be one of the best shot, most beautiful films my eyes have ever had the grace to witness.

The photography is absolutely gorgeous, from composition and framing to the camera movement and lighting. And the colors are the most vibrant and beautiful I have seen. (Side note: I wonder if Breaking Bad was inspired slightly by this film. I wouldn’t be surprised if…

Jesse Eisenberg really hit the nail on the head with this one. The story is simple, yet carries a lot of weight.

The chemistry of these two characters was so interesting to watch and both leads did a great job portraying them.

    Robert Eggers, you dirty dog!

This was excellent. I absolutely love the gothic world that was created here and the set design, lighting, composition and camera movement was STUNNING.

I’m always a sucker for symmetry in the composition of shots, and this was so well done. And the camera moves so eerily slow at times, which I love.

I thought the cast did amazing all around, with the exception of one.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson was probably the singular thing that took…
