Let's see: you've got Wallace and Gromit, a villainous penguin and some electronic gnomes.
T hings could never get out of hand with this group, right?
This movie basically does what Wallace and Gromit do best: Have Wallace and Gromit be their likable and amusing shelves, throw in some quirky new characters and scenarios and watch things play out.
I'm not sure if this completely changes the outlook of this series, but the system here didn't need much changing to…

First time seeing Taxi Driver in 2025, and one of the things that's kind of fun about the movie is the casting.
Of course De Niro is fun and interesting here, so are Jodie Foster and Harvey Keitel to be honest, but it's cool to see guys like Albert Brooks and Peter Boyle in a movie like this. I'm so used to seeing them in more lighthearted roles (mostly comedies), so it's kind of cool seeing them in a movie…

Not going to give anything specifics away, but I was cruising through the first half or so of this movie, liking the plot, thinking the characters were pretty good and overall liking Eggers direction, but then Willem Dafoe's character pops in, and had one thought come to my mind:
Okay, this is about to get good. And it did.
Not saying the rest of the cast isn't up to it, they are, but I'd be lying if this weren't 100%…

Honestly, that Atomic Breath scene alone is good enough to help make this entertaining as a Godzilla movie.
The human interest aspect is interesting. Much of it revolves around the more bureaucratic aspects of the aspects of the Japanese government trying to get a hand on the action with varying results.
But honestly, while the humans are interesting, it's not easy for them to compete with the action scenes here. Action wins here, easily here. Not because there's anything wrong…
