Rating: “Great Stuff, Great Stuff”
I got to say it’s one of the biggest surprises of the year. Sure the comedy didn’t really work for the most part and some pacing stuff didn’t worked for me. But where it lacks in those areas it makes up for its surprisingly more serious and mature approach in terms of the action, storytelling, its topics, and ultimately its characters. Especially with the compelling arcs for Optimus and Megatron respectively being the beating heart of the film and both Chris and Brian gave great vocal performances to boast it up. Making the dramatic tension between them feel compelling and dramatically intense. What else I can say, really great stuff for the most part.
