Rating: “It’s Alright, I guess”
For a first time director, Ishana knows her stuff when it comes to the directing, cinematography, and using the environments and scenery in affectively scary manner. Not to mention some solid performances, a great score, and a very interesting concept goes about it as well. My problems lie within the writing and not allowing some of the more interesting ideas to be fully explored and realized. Plus by the time the third act rolled around, I started to lose interest and the twist near the end didn’t exactly helped either. Still, not terrible for a debut film and I hope we get to see more of Ishana as a writer and director and the voice she brings to the table in the realm of cinema as an art form.
