Thanks to everyone involved in restoring this weird little Soviet melodrama, previously thought lost and currently still incomplete. Especially those glorious close-ups of Anna Sten's expressive face - those were definitely worth the effort!

These Hildegard Withers movies are all so enjoyable, especially the ones starring Edna May Oliver. The plots don't matter, but watching her and James Gleason quip while investigating murders together does! And as a bonus, this one has a title that I cannot help but want to sing to the tune of Murder on the Dancefloor.
