Really entertaining. I know a lot of people are nostalgic for ‘Back to the Future’ - I wish I was as well, though this felt familiar and “homey” even on the first watch.
It was really goofy at times, but I wasn’t mad about it. It’s also wild to think about there’s as big a difference between 1985 and 1955, as there is between 2025 and 1995. Back to the future today could practically just be “back to the 90s”.

Sometimes less is more, this is the case for ‘Gladiator 2’. Someone somewhere had the brilliant idea of making a sequel, except nothing in the original film called upon it. Surprise of the year? I didn’t know this film existed until two days ago. The plot sounded intriguing, but nothing could have prepared me for this. I expected this to be a highly intellectual film, which it was, but I didn’t expect it to move me. Consider me taken aback.
I loved the pacing combined with the visceral, intense soundscape. Every piece of dialogue was purposeful.
The film is also a visual wonder to behold. So many aesthetically pleasing shots.
Ralph Fiennes is a fantastic actor!

I loved the first thirty minutes a lot. They have a certain unusual blissful atmosphere about them. As if it mimics Anora’s naïveté in the beginning of the film.
Mikey Madison was brilliant, truly a wonder to behold. I did not relate to Anora in any way shape…
