Harry Bailey: “A toast to my big brother George, the richest man in town.”
Film club commences, with unanimous love and praise lavished upon this undiminished classic in our first gathering. A rollercoaster of emotions both painful and blissful which firmly emphasises the vitality of human life, selfless actions and friendship, It's A Wonderful Life is a reminder we could all do with regularly, and I couldn't be more grateful it was made and has become traditional Christmas viewing. The screenplay is one of my absolute favourites, George Bailey might just get my vote for the best and most sympathetic character in film history, and that ending gets me every. damn. time.
