    Prepare to be entertained.

    If we were ever going to get a sequel to Gladiator, it was always my thinking that only Ridley Scott could make it, even after all these years. It's easily one his finest pieces of work and now he brings us Gladiator II, a sequel that I had trepidations about yet it blew them away to become a sequel worthy of the name.

    Every minute counts.

    You put Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh in your film and you know damn well there's going to be an insane amount of buzz surrounding it. Obviously the infamous carousel horse featured on the poster that got memed to death took some of the spotlight, but Garfield and Pugh are just so hot right now in Hollywood. John Crowley's We Live in Time knows this and delivers a romantic drama that packs an emotional punch.

    Everyone deserves the chance to fly.

    For the first hour of this, I was mostly enjoying it but thinking it lacked a spark to really make it sing. Then something happened where the songs became a lot better and everything just clicked into place. A thoroughly entertaining adaptation of the iconic musical, Wicked is a winner thanks to the two lead performances of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, and of course the stunning closing number Defying Gravity, which really is worth the admission price alone.
