First watch of 2025🥳
]]>I’ve never seen The Hills but i get the gist.
]]>Honestly don’t blame her
]]>This film has one of the most brilliant endings i’ve ever seen, i don’t know if i’ve ever felt that way after finishing a movie before i was left so fucking emotional and i still get emotional thinking about it now. Mikey you are a star, Sean you are a genius, what a film.
]]>Such an iconic film that is almost flawless in every aspect, i honestly would rant for too long if i tried to review this film it is sooooooo fucking good.
]]>I felt as though a second Gladiator film wasn’t necessary before watching this and i still somewhat feel that way after watching but now i am so glad Ridley Scott decided to expand on his masterpiece that is Gladiator with this super fun and entertaining sequel. Paul Mescal did a stunning job in leading this film, he did not hold back in delivering a truly beautiful and powerful performance, that man can seriously do no wrong i’m ridiculously excited for his future! Along side Paul Mescal is a cast full of huge names and every single one of them played their roles so well but the stand out for me in particular was definitely Joseph Quinn. Joseph stole the show everytime he was on screen, his delivery of each line was so emotional and impactful, i was in awe of his incredible performance. This film was full of beautiful visuals, brutal and thrilling fight sequences aswell as being quite a hopeful and emotional story, i had so much fun watching this from start to finish and it was an especially amazing experience seeing this film on the big screen!
]]>I had such a fun time watching Wicked it was a very energetic, colourful, exciting film supported by a fantastic cast who embodied their characters. I loved being immersed in this fantastical story, it was intriguing with good twists and turns throughout, i hadn’t seen the Wizard of Oz beforehand so i went into this film with no expectations or pre existing knowledge of this universe and i’m very glad i did! Ariana and Cynthia were brilliant as the leads, not only did they do their characters justice through their beautiful performances but they also delivered some of the most stunning, powerful singing i’ve heard, especially considering it was all recorded live on set. I loved the dynamic between Glinda and Elphaba on screen it was so cute and they had great chemistry, i honestly can’t get over how impressive and unexpected Ariana’s performance was, she really became Glinda. I thoroughly enjoyed the heavy use of practical effects, the sets were so gorgeous and meticulously crafted which definitely enhanced the quality of the film. I am very enticed by this story and i look forward to seeing how it progresses in part 2! Also, Jonathan Bailey…. my goodness gracious me what a ridiculously attractive man he is.
]]>This film was fun and action packed with a surprisingly engaging and interesting story. Den of Thieves was quite an enjoyable movie with an entertaining cast, i’m glad i got around to watching this and i’m intrigued to see where the sequel takes this story.

]]>I really enjoyed this short film i think even more so than the feature films.
]]>I slept on this movie for far too long expecting it to be your average 2010’s romcom but i was pleasantly surprised by a beautiful, emotional, unconventional love story. This script was amazing and so well crafted along with a cast that is stacked and at their absolute best playing characters that feel like every day people dealing with life in this heartbreaking but hopeful film.

]]>Smile felt fresh, exciting and actually scary, something that not many horror films can relate to these days. This being Parker Finn’s feature film directorial debut is quite impressive, i’m excited for his future in the industry especially after the success of the sequel to this horror flick. Smile was very eery, i was on edge for majority of the film which i enjoyed. The concept for this film was intriguing and executed pretty well, it didn’t feel too predictable and the ending set up the sequel quite well, aside from a few moments that felt a bit strange and confusing throughout i had a great time watching this film!
]]>Not really my cup of tea.
]]>I was terrified of these types of films as a kid so i refused to watch them but now that i’m a big boy i have opened myself up and i’m better off for it. This story was fun and cute, i love the horror elements and i really enjoy the quirkiness of Tim Burton.
]]>I had the most beautiful experience watching this film, i was lucky enough to see Blade Runner in theatres with a live orchestra performing the captivating score!!! This film felt quite ahead of it’s time, every element of this story was crafted meticulously, the cinematography is utterly gorgeous and has held up perfectly, the script was near flawless, the score, especially live, was so emotional and added to every scene exactly how it needed to, i fell in love with every little detail of this film. The acting from everyone in this film was superb, the delivery of every line felt unscripted and honest, the beautiful acting through the use of their eyes grabbed me and drew me into each scene, all of it was perfect. I could feel the raw emotion spilling from each character especially in tender moments such as the love scene between Deckard and Rachael, i was so enthralled due to the authenticity of their performances. Ridley Scott developed a timeless masterpiece and Harrison Ford lead the way in this film brilliantly, i am extremely eager to watch Blade Runner 2049 and see where this universe goes in Denis Villeneuve’s capable hands!
]]>Great continuation of this fun new horror franchise, the jump scares in this movie were so good they got me so many times. I enjoyed the ending and i feel as though it has set up an exciting and unpredictable future with a potential Smile 3.

Heath Ledger delivers such a brilliant and devastating performance alongside Abbie Cornish in this beautiful, gut wrenching Aussie flick. This film tore my heart into a trillion little pieces but for some reason i can’t help but love watching tragic stories of addiction on screen.
]]>Not a bad sequel to a horror classic, i enjoyed that they changed the motives and tactics of Freddy so that it wasn’t just a copy and paste of the original.
]]>Not quite my tempo.
]]>This film is a fun introduction to a franchise i loved as a kid. Channing Tatum is a good lead with his amazing dancing alongside Jenna Dewan, their chemistry in this film is captivating and they made me really ship their two characters. Not the best film ever but i had a fun time watching it, the dancing in these films is iconic.
]]>This new horror film is innovative and enthralling i had a lot of fun watching. In a violent nature introduces us to Johnny, who honestly could be the next big horror icon if he’s handled well. Johnny is a brutal, terrifying force who destroys anyone in his path in different creative ways, the kill by the cliff side was especially fun, his weapons of choice are great along with his intense killing style. Following the killer’s perspective was so fun to see, it brought a new aspect to horror films that i haven’t experienced before and i loved it so much, i hope the sequel continues with this method as it opens up more entertaining ways of viewing horror films. The cinematography in this film was gorgeous, as was the beautiful setting, i thoroughly enjoyed watching Johnny traipse through the wilderness. This movie had a great concept which was executed pretty well, there were a few slow moments but it didn’t negatively impact the film much, i’m super excited to see the sequel and hopefully it can turn into a serious franchise!
]]>Such an iconic horror film with one of the great horror icons!!!! The story is so intriguing and terrifying, Freddie is a brilliant villain and the score is just amazing!!! Wes Craven is a horror genius.
]]>Not quite the best movie but i appreciate what they were going for, it definitely catches your attention. Art the clown is a fun character and i’d like to see what he gets up to in the sequels.
]]>Perfect sequel.
]]>The Substance is a beautifully crafted film that uses metaphorical story telling along with grotesque visuals to horrify the audience. Margaret Qualley and Demi Moore both delivered brilliant and deeply emotional performances that enthralled me and connected me with their character/s. This film feels fun and fresh, it’s almost campy at times and i enjoyed it a lot!

I don’t know how i haven’t seen this film earlier it is amazing!!! I couldn’t believe how emotionally attached i got to Toothless and Hiccup along with most of the other characters, it was a very well made film that had me enthralled from the get go. The dragons are so beautiful, as are the scenes of them flying, they are such majestic creatures i love how unique each one is. The voice acting was incredible, not surprisingly as the cast was stacked, each character feels very distinct and individual with such emotion brought to each one. Such a fun, fantastical film filled with heartbreak and excitement, i can’t wait to watch the sequels to this great movie!!
]]>Peter Kavinsky is an icon.
]]>This film was one of the funniest romcoms i have ever seen!!! The chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson was ridiculously good, they had me feeling all kinds of emotions every time they were on screen together. Ben and Andie made me non stop laugh throughout this movie, i shipped them so much even with how difficult their relationship was most of the time. They were so cute and had many heartfelt moments that had me in awe of their love for each other, although they hid it for the most part. How to lose a guy in 10 days is a near perfect romcom in my eyes, the whole cast was fantastic and gelled so well together to deliver this classic film.
]]>The Princess Diaries is a very cute and heartwarming film led by a young Anne Hathaway who shone in her breakthrough role!
]]>The Apprentice is an intense and revealing biopic that follows Donald Trump through the younger years of his controversial life as he made his rise to power. The story itself was quite interesting i enjoyed following it but what really pulled me into this film was the captivating performances from Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong along with the unique and intriguing style of filming. At the start of the film i was concerned about Sebastian playing Donald as he didn’t really sound or look like the former president but as the film progressed i was more and more drawn into his performance, the mannerisms of Donald became noticeable throughout and at many times my cinema was laughing due to how accurate it was which was quite funny. Jeremy Strong stole the show from the first scene he was in, his performance was brilliant he had me feeling all different emotions every time he was on screen, i was honestly in awe of how real his portrayal of Roy Cohn felt. The different camera angles and shots were unusual but it complimented the film quite well i felt, i also liked the nostalgic style of filming, it threw me into the time period that the film was set which i thoroughly enjoyed. This film was quite bizarre in many aspects and i didn’t expect to like it as much as i did but Ali Abbasi delivered an interesting and enjoyable movie!
]]>This movie felt fresh and fun i really enjoyed it. The story was interesting and well done, i liked that even though it is a comedy film the situation they were stuck in still felt dire and serious, you could see the all the emotion they felt throughout underneath their positive facades. Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti were amazing together they bounced off each other so well and their chemistry was really strong. I was laughing so much throughout this movie it was quite charming and cute but it also had its sadder moments which balanced the story well, i had a great time watching this film i loved it!
]]>Fun romcom that made me laugh at times, the story was alright but Ryan and Sandra carried the film for me with their chemistry and humour.
]]>Brilliant.
]]>This really was the best era for comedies!!! This is such a hilarious movie i couldn’t stop laughing the whole time, the cast is so stacked and they are all on point in this film, i can’t believe i hadn’t seen this sooner.
]]>This film had me quite enthralled from the get go, the premise was interesting but most of my enjoyment came from the beautiful way this film was crafted. The cinematography was gorgeous and the settings were really visually pleasing, the score was great and very eerie which for me made the film a lot more anxiety inducing. The foreshadowing and set ups for moments further on in the story were excellent, everything that was done in this film felt very deliberate and purposeful. I loved the soundtrack for this film it was so good and fun! The horror, thriller element to the film was extremely present but i enjoyed that we only got to see what the protagonists saw so even though it was an intense and somewhat scary film, i didn’t always feel like i was watching a thriller it did feel fun and positive a lot of the time. The whole idea of the forgetting memories was super intriguing and the way they connected everything on the island with the plants and snakes, etc was so good i loved how it all unfolded. The cast was good i enjoyed their performances but Channing was a stand out for me, he portrayed his character so well you could feel the underlying creepiness whilst still seeing the nice guy he wanted people to see and i enjoyed his monologue towards the end of the film. I’m quite impressed with Zoe Kravitz directorial debut i had a great time watching and i was super engaged from start to finish.
]]>This film didn’t hold up quite as well as i remembered but in saying that i still found it funny and it was an easy, entertaining watch.
]]>I had a good time watching this film even though certain themes were a bit tricky to watch. Abuse, domestic violence and topics along those lines can often be quite difficult to translate into film respectfully and accurately but i was happy with how they were portrayed in this story. The media attention this film got was obviously quite negative and definitely affected people’s opinions of the film which is sad to see but my viewing experience was not tainted, it was probably improved because the film exceeded any negative reviews i had heard. Blake Lively delivered a decent performance, i think she portrayed her emotion quite well during the tough times her character was going through and she had me getting a bit choked up during some scenes. Everyone in my cinema was very interactive which caught me off guard but they made it more enjoyable, there was some good humour scattered throughout and that definitely made the film more engaging. The soundtrack for this film was so good i loved it!!! Overall it wasn’t the best film ever but i enjoyed it quite a bit, i love me a sad story.
]]>This is quite a good fan film and they picked a perfect song to adapt on screen!
]]>This film caught me off guard with how funny it was, the cast was great especially Jason Sudeikis i love that man. There were some cliche moments scattered throughout but it was apart of the charm, it was a cute story and i had a fun time watching.
]]>I’m so glad Knocked Up got a spinoff with This is 40, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann took the reins this time and they didn’t disappoint. The crude humour was maintained in this film and i loved it, the wittiness of both the lead characters made for a very fun time even with all of the drama that unfolded between them. This movie made me quite emotional at times, everyone experienced so much negativity i felt bad for everyone but i’m glad there was a happy ending.
]]>This movie feels awfully underrated, i had a great time watching this film it was hilarious and had a cast stacked with great comedy actors. The chemistry between everyone in this film was so good there was no weak link, i was caught off guard by how funny this film was i couldn’t stop laughing. I love this era of comedies they were the best, i miss the humour that came out of the movies back in those days. I can’t wait to watch this is 40, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann are so fun to watch together.
]]>I really enjoyed this classic in the superhero genre, X-Men is a great introduction into the world of mutants showing off many different iconic characters. I think the casting was very well done for most of these roles, Hugh Jackman was clearly the standout in this film for me he was superb as Wolverine and he brought a lot of charisma to the film. The story wasn’t too bad but it did get slow at times throughout, i still had a great time watching and i can’t wait to continue watching the X-Men franchise.
]]>Phoebe Waller-Bridge is brilliant! This show felt far too short i wish there was more but the short sweet season we got was great, the humour was so good and the chemistry between the characters was entertaining. I couldn’t quite root for Lulu and Anthony as there just wasn’t enough backstory shown for me to have attachment to them but i still enjoyed watching their development along with the rest of the characters.
]]>I can’t believe i’ve waited this long to watch Juno! This film is hilarious, every line is delivered so well from this stacked cast. The story is fun and enjoyable while still being quite emotional at times keeping it engaging. Great film from an era of iconic comedies.
