    I'm not that usually that big on anime myself, but this one really got the waterworks flowing. Many people see this film as an interpretation of how art motivates people and how ultimtely- is inevitable, but I like to see this movie as looking at loss and how one copes with it.     I feel like that this movie is going to resonate with a lot of introverted-minded folk. The movie follows Edward, who is constantly blaming himself and his looks for his life's misgivings and troubles. Throughout the movie he undergoes a change in his appearance, however that does not bring that much happiness as he never gets what he longs for: a meaningful relationship.     Czech Republic finally has a shot at the Oscars, as it made the shortlist for Best International Film, and I am actually glad that it's with a good movie.     What a great debut from Eisenberg! I knew that I would enjoy this, as it's a perfect blend of a road-trip movie and soul-searching from the main two characters. Their soul-serach is put against the tragic backdrop of the Holocaust, as each of them is confronted with their own demons on this journey.
