    I have to say that there were quite a few effectively tense moments with some great buildups here. Director Okuno knows how to work it. It’s just too bad it’s all held together flimsily by the undeveloped characters within.

    Also- Keen misdirections keep you second guessing merrily along, but promises a disappointing ending and it does. Disappoint. Somewhat.

    A middle of the road thriller, more coffee and cookies than popcorn and soda. Enjoyable.

    I think the less you know going in the more fun it is, but I’ll add that this crazy exotic Chabrol spy spoof does involve a classic madman hell bent on ruling the world angle. I believe most folks would find this flick somewhat dry, but like my martinis, that’s how I prefer my spoofs.

    “That’s a math joke.”

    The This Is Spinal Tap of computer geekdom. Within its stunningly realistic retro esthetics lies an ingeniously funny comedy. Not to mention the folks deadpanning their characters to perfection. A perfectly punchable villain by the name of Papageorge is this movie’s Billy Mitchell. 

    “This song is in honor of artificial intelligence.”

    This bonafide classic was my first Mad Max and will always be my favorite. George Miller created my preferred dystopian utopia setting with this one and I had to wait until Fury Road to return.
