    Probably Arnold’s most spiritually and emotionally mature film. This had potential to be one of her best, but the more fantastical elements and heavy handed metaphors really started to lose me in the end. I get that she was trying to juxtapose her typical unwavering commitment to realism with those moments, but they sorta just end up undermining it instead.

    This looks and sounds great though. Super immersive handheld cinematography and sound design.

His naturalist approach reaches its absolute apex here; conversations overlap as we wander from room to room, shots find characters beginning & ending arcs in the same take.
